The Great Smoky Mountains

This one was a weird fella!

SHARK!!!!

This was a little tube that you could pop up in and it had seahorses swimming all around you. Hartleigh wasn't quite tall enough to stand up in it alone so Mommy and Daddy had to take turns holding her up so she could see. She loved it because they were swimming all around you. It was really uncomfortable for us big folks but you know the things you do for you chillins'!

We took Hartleigh to the Ripley's Believe It or Not Aquarium in Gatlinburg and it was awesome. Hartleigh absolutely loved it. I think she would have crawled up in the tank with all the fish if she could have. She just couldn't get close enough to the glass! We were in there for hours and hours and she still wasn't ready to go. I think we will have a little scuba diver!

She danced so much that she fell asleep while dancing with Daddy.

She slept through the rest of the reception!

The Great Smoky Mountains

At the reception, Hartleigh was a dancing fool which is pretty much usual when music is playing. She danced with Rylee the flower girl.

She danced by herself!

She did the monster mash!

She even got to dance with the bride and her father. Mr. Joe fell in love with Hartleigh at first sight and insisted on sharing his last dance with his daughter with Hartleigh! This brought tears to my eyes!

The Great Smoky Mountains

Back in March (yes, I know I'm way way behind) we went to the Smoky Mountains for a friend's wedding. I hadn't been to the mountains since I was very young and Cecil is not sure whether or not he'd ever been to the Smokies. I have been going to the beach for years but the beauty of the mountains may have made this my new favorite vacation spot. We went for a ride in the mountains and Hartleigh was getting tired of riding so we pulled over to walk on one of the trails. The trail was beautiful. To hear the water running along was just awesome! We loved it! Hartleigh was so glad to be out of the car that she just took off running down the walkway. I told her one time to slow down before she fell and the next thing I know she was skidding down the concrete. She got a nice shiner from it too. The day before the wedding no less. Great!
