Pool Time

Since it was pretty and the pool was finally ready we decided to go for a swim. Logan who lives in Florida had been introduced to the pool already but it was a new experience for Hartleigh. She has always loved to play in the bathtub so I figured she would enjoy the pool and boy did she! She took right to it. She taught Logan how to splash. Add Marty to the mix and everyone was wet from head to toe. We had gotten Hartleigh a float to float around in and she even figured out how to kick her feet to make it go. So pretty soon she was making her way around the pool all by herself. I even dunked her so that she could get used to holding her breath and closing her eyes in the water and she didn't even cry. She blinked the water out of eyes and wrinkled up that cute little nose of hers and then went on her merry little way. I am so glad that she likes the water since both of her parents love it so. I think we got something started because the other day she was trying to put her "kini" top on and climb in the bathtub. Its almost as if she wants to go swimming again but its been rainy and yucky ever since so we haven't been able to take her. She'll be scubadiving before we know it!

Playdate with Logan

Logan came over to see Hartleigh one day while they were in town. The two of them had a grand time. They played really well together except for the time that Hartleigh tried to pull up on Logan and they both went crashing down in the playard. I think it scared the mess out of poor Logan but all in all they got along great. They shared well and they told each other all kinds of things! Part of me wishes I knew what they were talking about and part of me is scared to ask. There is no telling how much trouble these two are going to get into!

Fish Fry

We had a mini family reunion during this visit! It was a great time. Kendra and Marty were here from Florida, Pat and Barbara were here from Virginia, Stacey was here from Mobile, Becky and Kenneth were here from Missouri, and then of course us locals were there too. Grandmother Ferrell, Clark and Kim, Tim, Christian, Ashleigh, and Paxton, Dawn and Thomas, and Bud and Bobbi Tumlinson. It was a great time! We laughed and caught up. The babies enjoyed being the center of attention as usual! I hope we do this more often!

Peek A Boo

Why do we buy kids toys? Look all around the floor in this picture. There are toys everywhere. But you see what these two are playing with and having the best time with. A box. Yep. They preferred a box over all those nice toys. Paxton would hide down in the box and then he would pop out at Hartleigh and say peek a boo. They had so much fun with this game. However, the box didn't last too long. After a couple of days with this crew it was crippled.

Riding Grand Pa!

Grandpa started something here! He put Hartleigh on his shoulders and she thought she was on top of the world. Whenever he would stop bouncing she would start bouncing up and down and kicking him like he was a horsey. She almost broke this poor horsey down. What Grandparents do for their babies!!!
